Dr. Alison Hoffmann
Owner & Clinical Audiologist with 35+ Years Experience
Dr. Hoffmann sees patients at both the 329 East 68th Street and 209 West 19th Street locations.
Dr. Alison Hoffmann had a goal of working with the hearing impaired since a young child when she attended the Lexington School for the Deaf in Jackson Heights Queens. The integrated program exposed her to a world otherwise unknown. She graduated Queens College with double Major in Communication Disorders and Education. While her first few years she worked as a teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicap she attended Hofstra University full time in the evening and completing clinicals on weekends to gain her Masters in Audiology. As the Audiology industry changed, and Doctorate level programs became available and the new standard, she jumped at the change to expand her knowledge and expertise by completing her Doctorate Degree in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. She holds a certificate of clinical competency in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiologists and holds NY state licenses in both Audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Dr. Hoffmann has experience in ENT, hospital, and private practice settings. She opened her own private practice in 2001 and grew from one location to 7 organically by taking over practices when her colleagues would want to retire and wanted to ensure their patients were in good hands, receiving the same level of care and compassion that they were accustomed to. While practicing as an Audiologist in her clinics she also enjoyed teaching as an adjunct professor at St Joseph’s College, Malloy College, and the CUNY Graduate program.
